Creating a grant funding rationale for CSIR

The Center for the Study of Information and Religion seeks grant funding for the following functions related to our mission:
  1. To conduct research within the parameters of LIS related to the intersection of information science and religion.
    1. TO PAY FOR FUNDING GA POSITIONS
    2. TO PURCHASE COURSE RELEASE TIME TO CONDUCT RESEARCH
  2. To facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersections of information science and religion through
    1. Hosting an annual conference that invites scholars from multiple disciplines to present on their research related to the intersections of information and religion (WE COULD SEEK FUNDING TO HOST THE CONFERENCE, A CORPORATE SPONSOR. WHAT ABOUT INVITING EXHIBITORS TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS?)
    2. Publishing the best papers from the conference as an annual serial on the Advances in the Study of Information and Religion (WE COULD SEEK FUNDING TO PAY FOR AN EDITOR POSITION - THE POSITION COULD ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CALL PAPERS, PEER REVIEW PROCESS)
    3. Hosting an annual symposium - for what purpose? (WE COULD SEEK FUNDING TO WEBCAST THE SYMPOSIUM PRESENTATIONS TO A WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE?) Purpose:
      1. To facilitate knowledge, awareness, and understanding between persons of different faith traditions - THEREFORE WE COMMIT TO INVITING SPEAKERS FROM A DIFFERENT FAITH TRADITION EACH YEAR.
